ABOUT THE TOUR

Meet at Crux Fermentation Project where you will be greeted by your naturalist guide. From here, we’ll head out for our cave adventure.

Locked behind a bat gate lies an incredible cave not accessible to the general public.  Together, we’ll discover the hidden underground world of this large cool cavern. Leading small groups with headlamps for all, our guides will provide in-depth interpretation on the formation of the lava tubes, the wildlife habitat inside the caves and the many uses of the caves over time.  Ascending above ground, we’ll enjoy the warmth of a fire, while sampling beer before heading to Crux Fermentation Project.

We’ll head to reserved tables at the foot of the brew house. Here you will be taken through the history and spectrum of beer including tastings of some of their year round favorites to some of their more rare, limited barrel-aged offerings. Experience a variety of flavors ranging from crisp and refreshing lagers to hop-forward juicy IPAs to rich and complex imperial stouts. Elite staff, handpicked for their knowledge, answer your brewing questions as you dine on artisanal calzone, bavarian pretzels and charcuterie. While the tour will conclude by 9PM, you are welcome to continue the evening at Crux around one of their cozy fire pits.

Crux Fermentation Project

We may be a bit hard to find, but we're right smack in the middle of Bend, Oregon. Take the road less traveled and brave the "Private Road" and "No Outlet" signs— you'll be rewarded with 20+ original craft beers on tap and an expansive panoramic view of the Cascade Mountains which at dusk hosts Central Oregon's most incredible sunsets.

Brewer-owned and operated, our tasting room is right in the middle of our brewery, partly because that's all the space we had left— but mostly because we wanted to give you the opportunity to experience the sites, sounds and wonderful aromas of the craft brewing process.
