about
Adventure: Join us for a stunning, snow-filled evening in the heart of the Deschutes National Forest. For this incredible experience, Wanderlust Tours will be partnering with Luckey’s Woodsman, experts in backcountry cooking techniques, to create an incredible fireside dinner experience! Winter is a time for hearty, soul-warming meals and on this magical evening, Luckey’s Woodsman will prepare a variety of craft soups paired with freshly baked bread that will warm both our hands and our heart!
Naturalist Guided Experience: Cruising on snowshoes as night sets in, you will notice the immensely peaceful and hushed ambiance of the old-growth forest. During your adventure, your naturalist guide may point out animal tracks and touch on how the native wildlife in Central Oregon have adapted to the 400-600 inches of snow we see every winter. Nearing our destination, our nose will lead us for the final push. Tucked away amongst the hemlock and pine, The chefs of Luckey’s Woodsman will be putting the final touches on their craft-creations as we arrive. The magic of this wholly unique experience will remain instilled within you forever!
Location: Snowshoeing tours take place in the areas around Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding Deschutes National Forest of the Cascade Mountain Range of Oregon. New to off-trail snowshoeing? Let Wanderlust Tours do the driving and teach you fun snowshoeing techniques and tricks. All tours include instruction. Wear winter boots and powder/ski pants to keep your feet and legs dry while snowshoeing
